Alongside companies like Tesla, Rivian and Nikola -- all of which are working on their own commercial electric delivery vehicles -- traditional truck companies are working on their own solutions for a zero emission future.
On this channel, we've covered electric trucks from several established brands in the trucking world - and now we're able to add Volvo to the list.
Earlier this month, we took to the Sonoma Raceway behind the wheel of Volvo's prototype VNR electric trucks. Currently operating in a test fleets in southern California and in parts of Europe, these heavy haulers are designed for day-time delivery work, drayage, and short-haul operation.
It's all part of the Volvo LIGHTS program. Here's what we learned from our experience -- and what you can look forward to seeing on the roads of the U.S. and Europe today -- and a whole lot more in the future.
